Although the Czech Republic doesn’t have the depth of the great word capitals when it comes to gastronomy, it does have the world class quality. Prague Food Festival assembles much of it in one place and over the years it has become a perpetual showcase of many delicacies that has grown immensely since its inception. For food lovers in Prague, the annual Prague Food Festival is the most attractive event of the year.

Held six years in a row so far, the three-day event, which usually runs in May brings together the top chefs and restaurants from across the country, as selected by Pavel Maurer, the founder of the festival and the publisher of the annual Grand Restaurant Guide, which rated the country’s top 100 restaurants. He also recently launched the Grand Bar Guide, rating pubs and cafés, as well. The festival is usually held in one of Prague’s landmark areas, the sixth Prague Food Festival took place in the fairy tale-like Royal Gardens of Prague Castle.

Each May, the Prague Food Festival increases in both size and scope and it also pairs the nation’s culinary highlights with the most stunning views giving its visitors the chance to admire the view of this beautiful city while enjoying the degustation menus of more than 50 restaurant from Prague and beyond, all for a very reasonable price.
