Maisel Synagogue

The Neo-Gothic style Maisel Synagogue stands on the site of a much older synagogue, which was established and paid for by wealthy businessman Mordecai Maisel.

Today, its whitewashed interior houses an exhibition on the history of the Jewish community in Prague until the emancipation in 1848. It contains a collection of religious artefacts such as hannukah candlesticks and scrolls.

The Maisel Synagogue is covered by an all in-one ticket for all the attractions in the Josefov apart from the Old-New Synagogue.
