Kožná street

One of the many winding alleys that twist between the streets of the Old Town, Kožna Street leads off Melantrichova, which tourists pass through on their way to Old Town Square.

The most notable building on Kožna, is no. 1, on the corner with Melantrichova. Known as the House At the Two Golden Bears (U dvou zlatých medvědů), the building is a superb example of Renaissance architecture. Its doorway is richly decorated and features two small bears, from which the building takes its name. The house also has an arcaded courtyard.

The House At the Two Golden bears is also associated with famous investigative journalist Egon Erwich Kisch, who his commemorated by a plaque.
